McKnight Law to Sponsor Wake County Bar Awards for the Second Year in a Row

October 21, 2021

Divorce and Family Law Attorney John McKnight, Founder of the Raleigh, North Carolina-based firm, McKnight Law, announces his firm’s sponsorship of the Wake County Bar Awards for the second consecutive year. Through laughter, music, and camaraderie, the event, which takes place on Thursday, November 4 at 5 p.m. at the NC Museum of History, benefits Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Raleigh office.

Part stage show, part cocktail party, part fundraiser, all fun, the Wake County Bar Awards is an annual event that brings together the talents and collegiality of local lawyers for an evening of laughs to raise funds for a worthy cause.

A reception kicks off the evening with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, raffles, wine roulette, and a host of other activities. With songs and skits poking fun at current events and the local legal world, the evening culminates with a much-anticipated stage performance fully written and produced by Wake County lawyers.

The first Bar Awards were held in 2007 and have since evolved into a premier event of the Wake County Bar Association and Wake County Bar Association Foundation. To date, the event has raised more than $500,000, donated to Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Raleigh office.

“I am proud that the firm is continuing its sponsorship of the Wake County Bar Awards. Access to the legal system for our most vulnerable citizens is more difficult yet more important than ever. The Pandemic has had a devastating effect on so many in our community, and McKnight Law remains committed to doing what we can to ensure a responsive, just, and equitable legal system for all of Wake County.”
