McKnight Law is pleased to announce that Whitney Butcher has joined the firm to focus on representing family law clients in North Carolina. Whitney has been practicing complex civil litigation for more than thirteen years. She has gone up against some of the biggest companies in the country in court and she has held numerous national leadership positions on both Plaintiff Steering and Plaintiff Executive Committees. Her recent work before joining McKnight Law focused on representing survivors of institutional childhood sexual abuse.
Whitney says: “My experience working with survivors of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse has ingrained in me the importance of providing both strength and empathy. In family law, especially cases involving domestic violence or high-conflict custody disputes, the attorney must be an advocate who listens, understands trauma, and fights tenaciously for safety and stability.”
Additionally, Whitney’s experience deposing corporate executives and reviewing thousands of pages of financial documents has prepared her to effectively manage complex marital estates, business valuations, and the detailed discovery required in high-asset divorces. Whitney brings her client-first commitment and fierce advocacy to McKnight Law clients with alimony, equitable distribution, child support and child custody cases.
“She will be an incredible asset to our firm, where we have the ultimate goal of helping families with complex problems find workable solutions,” says founder and managing partner John McKnight.
Whitney Butcher of McKnight Law is accepting new clients in Wake County and is available to meet at both the Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina offices.
